Nighttime Trick or Treat

Ghosts, Goblins, Princesses and Pirates can Trick or Treat this year on:

Tuesday, October 31st from 6pm-8pm

Any household within the PPNA borders, 60th to 68th from North to Lloyd, may hand out treats. The Fall Newsletter will have the official PPNA Pumpkin to hang in your window to show your participation. This is a PPNA sponsored event, please support your neighborhood association by joining the PPNA or renewing your membership at this time. Glow Lights will be given out to participants at the membership drive. Two year members and those who have mailed in the membership form will have Glow Lights delivered to their home.
There will be two PPNA sponsored CIDER STOPS. At our cider stops, we will be collecting nonperishable food items, toiletries or monetary donations for Tosa Cares. Visit for a list of preferred donation items. Have your little ghost or goblin give a little something back to the community for their basket of goodies! If there is a chill in the air, feel free to grab a warm cup of apple cider at either location.
Cider Stops are 2119 North 61st and 2119 North 66th.
This is a Rain or Shine Event!

A Toast to the New Signs

Short window of rain free opportunity, but we are not short on THANKS for Jim Hass of OldDogDesign and his fantastic design! Thanks to all who braved the raindrops to celebrate!

Raise a glass with us as we dedicate our new street signs and thank our gracious graphic designer, Jim Hass. We will be gathering at the sign near 2119 North 66th at 7pm on Wednesday, June 28th. There will be PBR and water on hand to execute our toast. Feel free to BYOB. Stop by to give Jim a pat on the back and gaze lovingly at our wonderful new signs!
The sign project could not have been completed without funding from Metcalfe’s Market, multiple donations from Pabst Park neighbors and the design efforts of Jim Hass of OldDogDesign.  THANK YOU to all!

Tosa’s Night Out Local Celebrations

Once again the PPNA is encouraging each block to host a block meet and greet.  Block captains or anyone else with the planning “bug”, could throw together a simple gathering on the block on either July 29th or 30th.  For example, you could invite your block to all convene on 7-30 at 7:30pm for lemonade, root beer floats or an ice cream social.  If you would like help spreading the word about your block’s gathering or want to know who your block captain is,  please email  Who doesn’t love a little friendly competition?  Let’s see who can host the best block gathering in Pabst Park!
From the TNO website:  This year we are bringing the focus back to your neighborhoods and fighting crime on a block by block level. The Wauwatosa Police Department is encouraging as many neighborhoods as possible to have their annual block parties during the weekend of July 29th and 30th.  Our Police Department will be out in full force to attend every block party in the city that weekend!! Plan ahead and get your block party on our list. We’ll bring the squads and motorcycles. This is your chance to have one on one conversations with the officers that work your neighborhood every day.
On Monday, July 31st, the Police Department, in coordination with our many neighborhood associations will host “regional block parties” throughout the City. There will be four parties throughout the city that night. Get your neighborhood association together and join your neighbors. Our officers will be out and you can meet the officers that patrol your neighborhoods every day. We’ll be there with McGruff, squads, motorcycles, and bicycles. Stop by to say hello to our officers or ask about crime prevention in your neighborhood. Stay tuned for the exact times and locations.

Saturday, July 29th – TNO Block parties
Sunday July 30th – TNO Block parties
Monday July 31st – TNO Neighborhood associations – regional block parties parties
Tuesday August 1st– No activities (preparation for Wednesday)
Wednesday August 2nd– Milwaukee County Zoo culmination event

Support the PPNA with Metcalfe’s Market Another Helping Program

We’re excited to announce that for the month of January we’re partnering with Metcalfe’s Market to earn money for our organization and give you a discount! Use this coupon to save 5% off your grocery purchases anytime, all month long. And not only will you save – but at the end of the month Metcalfe’s will donate 5% of all our neighborhood member purchases back to us.
Present this coupon (printed or on your phone) at checkout in January anytime to save 5% on groceries, and then Metcalfe’s will donate that 5% to the Pabst Park Neighborhood Association. Win-win!
We will use the proceeds of this fundraiser to move forward with our neighborhood sign project, more info, here.  We still need to form a committee of neighbors interested in taking the lead on this project.  The first hurdle, fundraising, could be easily cleared by Metcalfe’s generosity.  Please let me know if you are interesting in helping with the street sign project via email.
